Dermal Filler

The most visible signs of the aging face are often caused by volume loss. As facial tissues thin out, lines become etched, certain areas of the face start to look hollow, and skin stretches and sags. When injected strategically into the areas of the face, dermal fillers help to restore lost volume, which results in a fresher, more youthful appearance. Dermal filler can also be injected into the lips to plump and define them.

Tondue Medical Spa carries the full line of Juvederm® fillers. As the #1 dermal filler collection in the world, Juvederm® offers 5 FDA-approved, long-lasting, non-surgical hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers to meet your specific needs. Tondue’s highly trained cosmetic injectors will select the specific Juvederm® product(s) that will help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Juvederm® fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance found in the body that keeps skin looking plump and hydrated. Soft and gel-like in texture, HA fillers yield natural looking results that last from 6 months up to 24 months before the body gradually and naturally absorbs them.

If you’re looking for a safe, non-invasive way to restore lost volume in your face, dermal filler treatments at Tondue Medical Spa may be right for you. We recommend scheduling an initial consultation to discuss your aesthetic goals with us. During the consultation, our highly trained team of cosmetic nurse injectors will design a treatment plan fully customized to your concerns and objectives.

Patients receiving dermal filler treatments should avoid taking substances that have blood-thinning effects, such as aspirin, vitamin E supplements, St. John’s wort, ginseng, and Ginkgo Biloba for at least a week before their treatments. Please consult with your personal physician before stopping any medications before treatment.

A dermal filler appointment typically lasts anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. Just before the treatment, the area will be cleaned, and you may be given a topical anesthetic to numb the area prior to injection. Many filler products also contain lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, which is intended to help minimize discomfort during and after your treatment. Your provider will then inject a precise amount of filler strategically beneath the skin to achieve your desired results.

Some patients may experience mild bruising and swelling. These side effects are temporary and should subside over the days following treatment. You will be able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment, but you may be asked to take the day off from exercise or other strenuous activity. Your cosmetic nurse injector will provide you with after care instructions to ensure you know what to do post-treatment for optimal results.

Depending on the product and the areas treated, you will notice results immediately after receiving filler injections. Results may last up to 24 months depending on the area treated, product used, and other patient health factors, before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the product..
