The CoolTone® device is FDA-cleared for improvement of abdominal tone, strengthening of the abdominal muscles, and development for a firmer abdomen, as well as for strengthening, toning, and firming of buttocks and thighs.

CoolTone®is a non-invasive body contouring device that addresses fat reduction, muscle toning, and skin tightening. CoolTone® uses high-frequency electromagnetic technology to stimulate muscle contractions in a manner that cannot be achieved by voluntary contractions or normal exercise. The device increases strength and muscle mass by inducing maximal muscle contractions that cannot be achieved with a simple trip to the gym.

CoolTone® uses Active Magnetic Pulse™ (AMP™) technology designed to induce powerful muscle contractions to contour, firm, and build muscle that the body could not otherwise do on its own. The device delivers high-frequency energy pulses to the area being treated which induces supramaximal muscle contraction and enhances collagen structure, connective tissue, and blood circulation. Improved blood flow and collagen structure cause the skin to become more elastic, firm, and tight. The device causes supramaximal muscle contraction resulting in the muscle tissue responding by remodeling its structure. This leads to increased muscle mass and improved muscle definition and tone.

In some cases, CoolTone® can be performed in conjunction with CoolSculpting treatments as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, clinically proven treatment that selectively reduces unwanted fat using a patented cooling technology.

CoolTone®’s Active Magnetic Pulse™ (AMP™) technology penetrates through the skin and fat layers to target only the muscle layer, inducing involuntary response. The body’s response to these contractions is to strengthen its muscle fibers, resulting in improved muscle conditioning.

The applicators use this technology to cause involuntary contractions in the treated area. CoolTone® intensity levels range from 1-100%, depending on the patient’s tolerance, and may be adjusted during the treatment. During treatment, you will feel a series of involuntary (deep but not painful!) muscle contractions over the targeted area that will last for a few seconds followed by a period of rest.

Each treatment typically takes 30 minutes. For most patients, 4 treatments are recommended over the course of 2 weeks to achieve body contouring results, with maintenance treatments to follow on a prescribed schedule.

After treatments, the abdomen, buttocks and thighs are firmer and have a more defined and toned appearance.

CoolTone® treatment will have lasting results with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Patients will see results immediately after treatment and results continue to improve for several weeks after treatment. As with muscle building from exercise and weight training, increased muscle mass is not permanent but can last for 6 months or longer. To maintain the results of CoolTone®, it is recommended to have follow up treatments periodically.

CoolTone® is a noninvasive treatment and as such, there are virtually no side effects associated with the procedure. Immediately after treatment, some patients may experience redness or tenderness in the treated area which typically resolves within minutes to hours.
