Injectables

Injectable cosmetics have been used around the world to achieve a youthful look.  Some of the uses include addressing lips, wrinkles, double chin, frown lines, and more.  We use Botox® Cosmetic to achieve remarkable results when addressing frown lines, crows feet, and more.  We also use the JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers to provide volume and fullness to depleted areas.  You can see the differences right away when you look at actual client before and after photos below.

For less than a fraction of what a facelift traditionally costs, you can have a more youthful look.  Injectable fillers can typically fill lines, wrinkles and depleted areas in less than 30 minutes.  Even better, the results can last from 4 months to over a year in some cases!

So many options.  Which is right for me?

So what's the difference between Botox and Filler? Botox injections relax the muscle under a wrinkle, reducing the amount that the muscle can pull the skin together.  Filler actually does exactly what its name implies, it fills the crease, line or depleted area.  The result is that the affected trouble spot disappears almost entirely.  Filler can also be used to increase the volume of a specific area.  It can be used to plump lips, cheeks, temples, chins, jawlines, and even sagging hands.

With results that are fast and easy, and a price point far more cost effective than plastic surgeries tend to be, it's no surprise that the injectable aesthetic field is growing at an amazing rate.  A few things to consider according to WebMD:

  • Don't let price be your guide. If you are offered a wrinkle filler treatment that costs far less than the standard treatment, it's likely some compromises are being made, either in the skill of the provider or the quality of the product. Never risk making a bargain with your face.
  • Know what you are being injected with, and if an FDA-approved wrinkle filler is being used and if it was purchased directly from the maker.
  • Use sunscreen daily to help preserve the filler and help protect against post-inflammatory pigment changes due to the needle sticks from injections.
